Biography: Sir Muirhead Bone studied painting and architecture in Glascow before moving to London in 1901. He joined the New English Art Club and in 1916, was the first appointed Official War Artist. In 1920, he helped found the Imperial War Museum and worked again as the Official War artist in World War II.
