Biography: Hans Multscher was first documented in Ulm in 1427. The naturalism of his work implies that he studied either in the Netherlands or in northern France. Multshcer owned a large and prolific workshop that helped spread naturalism throughout southern Germany. His most significant works include the main altar for the church at Sterzing in the Tyrol.
