Biography:
Philibert Perraud began photographing upon the invention of the daguerreotype process in France in 1839. He toured Italy beginning in 1845, and made thousands of portraits in Milan and Rome. He then traveled to Greece where he met Philippos Margaritis in Athens, and introduced him to photography.
