Biography: Little is known of the life of French manuscript illuminator, Jean Pucelle. However, his workshop was the leader in painting in Paris in the beginning of the 14th century. His work was expensive and remained popular after his death. His most famous work is the Book of Hours of Queen Jeanne d’Evreux.
