Biography:
Francesco Trevisani studied in Venice before moving to Rome to begin his career in 1678. He succeeded Marattta after his death in 1713 and soon became a famous and successful painter in Rome and abroad. He created frescoes, altarpieces, mythological scenes, and portraits in a style similar to Maratta’s.
